Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers
Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers are one of those Chili’s orders that instantly puts you in a good mood. Sweet, smoky, sticky, a little spicy, and impossible to stop eating once you start. This dupe is all about recreating that exact “why is this so good” combo at home, especially when you want restaurant comfort food without leaving the house.
The sauce is the whole reason. Blending chipotles in adobo with honey, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, and Worcestershire gives you that classic honey chipotle flavor that is sweet up front, smoky in the middle, and warm at the end. Simmering it for a few minutes deepens everything, then straining it makes it silky smooth so it coats the chicken like the real deal.
The only rule for the chicken is crispy, the crispier the better, because that glossy sticky sauce needs texture to grab onto. Toss, serve with ranch, and suddenly you are having a full Chili’s moment at home, enjoyyy! ❤️

🧾 Ingredients 🧾
One 7-ounce can of chipotle peppers in adobo1/4 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup honey
👨🍳 Instructions 👨🍳
1) Add the entire can of chipotle peppers in adobo to a blender along with the water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and dark brown sugar. Blend for 60–90 seconds, until completely smooth. You’ll still see tiny flecks from the pepper skins and seeds, that’s perfectly fine as we'll be sifting these out later.
2) Pour the blended sauce into a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Let it simmer for 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. This step deepens the flavor, mellows the vinegar bite, and thickens the sauce slightly.
3) For that signature smooth, restaurant-style finish, pour the sauce through a fine mesh strainer to remove any remaining skins or seeds. Press it through with a spoon or whisk so you get every drop.
4) Cook your chicken tenders until deeply golden and very crispy. The crispier the better, the sauce is glossy and sticky, so texture matters here.
5) Toss the hot tenders in the warm honey chipotle sauce until fully coated. Serve immediately with ranch dressing.
